B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture is a 4 years professional bachelor degree programme which comprises of theory and practical over eight semesters including hands-on training in the laboratories, poly houses, fields within and outside the university.
It Provides knowledge on use of modern scientific instruments machinery and techniques to solve problem in industry , agricultural and allied sciences.
In depth knowledge on crop cultivation, crop improvement, soil and crop management for sustainable organic agricultural production and development.
The course aids in analyzing and identifying complex agricultural problems and formulating ethical solutions using the principles of agricultural science, engineering, and business.
The programme gets the students to developing innovative processes, products, and technologies to meet the challenges in agriculture and farming practices.
Programme Objectives
Students graduating with the B.Sc. Agricultural Science degree should be able to acquire: PO1: Agriculture knowledge: Apply the knowledge of horticulture, Agronomy, organic and sustainable agriculture, and integrating pest management to the solution of Agriculture related issues. PO2: Subject specific knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding in horticulture section: The breadth and depth of the profession of horticulture. Basic horticulture biology: taxonomy, anatomy, morphology, and physiology. PO3: Analysis of complex problems: To understand and analyze the current events and issues that are occurring in agriculture and how they affect agriculture of the future. PO4: Modern tool usage: Select and apply advanced techniques, resources and IT tools for prediction of weather. PO5: The Agriculturist and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional Agricultural practice. PO6: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional agricultural solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development. PO7: Ethics: To demonstrate research based knowledge of the legal and ethical environment impacting agriculture organizations and exhibit an understanding and appreciation of the ethical implications of decisions. PO8: Individual and team work: To demonstrate an ability to engage in critical thinking by analyzing situations and constructing and selecting viable solutions to solve problems. PO9: Communication: To demonstrate and understand the impact of globalization and diversity in modern agriculture organizations. PO10: Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Agriculture and Agri-business management principles. PO11: Entrepreneurship and employability: Able to recognize and examine the relationships between inputs and outputs in their agricultural field to make effective and profitable decisions.

The eligibility criterion for all programs for international applicants is minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the pre-requisite subjects for admission in to the desired program.

Admission Process
The Admission Cell of the University is responsible for facilitating admissions to the desired courses. Admission is through Entrance test/ Interview/Counselling.
Step 1
Download the admission application form from the University's official website and submit the same with a demand draft of prescribed fee drawn in favor of IES University payable at Bhopal.
Step 2
Fill in and submit application form online along with prescribed fee.
Step 3
Buy in person on payment of prescribed fee from the admission cell of IES University Bhopal.
Step 4
Candidates who fulfills the eligibility criteria for seeking admission to a Department/Institute shall, submit the duly filled in admission application form on or before the last date prescribed for the same.
Step 5
After scrutiny, if the candidate is found to meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University, he/she shall be called to appear for the counseling.
